Diesel engine

Diesel engines are known as prime movers and are used to rotate different types of equipment for different applications. The major components of a diesel engine are crankshaft, camshaft, gear train, diesel pumps, injectors, liners, pistons, cylinder heads, exhaust manifold, turbo supercharger, governor, air inlet manifold, water pump, lube oil pump, radiator, water tank, Diesel oil tank, lube oil tank etc.,

Diesel oil is sent to the cylinder head at high pressure and temperature. The piston compresses the air and fuel oil, which explodes into the compression chamber. The pressure moves the piston down, which in turn rotates the crankshaft. Depending on the number of pistons the firing continues and the crankshaft continues to rotate. The load of other equipment is connected to the crankshaft

Diesel engines are connected with generator, diesel locomotives, marine application, pumps, blowers steel rolling mills etc. Diesel generators are essential to provide backup power during power outages or to power critical operations, islands, marine machinery, etc. Diesel generators are manufactured in different models and in different output capacities.

Diesel generator governors

Governor is one of the main and important equipment of diesel engines. Most engine manufacturers use governors made by Woodward and Europa Make Governors. Each engine has a governor. The output and RPM of the generator is controlled by the governor allowing the correct amount of fuel oil to the fuel injection pump. Also monitor and control important parameters of diesel engine. Governors for diesel engines are specially designed to absorb the diesel knocks during a fire stroke.

Mostly Woodward model UG 8,UG 40, PGA, EGB, PGG, PSG, PGR, PGEV Europa model 1102, 1100, 1141, Japan KIKI Russian OPH 13, OPH 30 are used in diesel engines.

Electronic Governors

The manufactures designed electronic Governors and obsolete the Hydro-Mechanical Governors. Hence to import the spares is more expensive and lead times are longer. Electronic Governing system made of three major components. Life cycle is shorter than Hydro-Mechanical Governors. No one can repair the electronic governors. The model and design of the electronic governors are upgraded every year. When the problem occurs, the customer has to spend a lot of money to buy new upgraded model Electronic Governors for old diesel engine.

PR Governors started manufacturing a wide variety of Hydro-Mechanical Governors models G 840, G-840 MS,G-840 MSD, G-840 P, STG Actuators STEA, A-840 and electronic governors model EG 2019, HG-AC Indigenously in a computable price. Few diesel engine customers buy our governor because of the high cost of electronic governors. We retrofit our governors that need replacing mechanical governors and obsolete Hydro-Mechanical Governors.
